At New Life Church Battersea, there are four values that we want to be the basis for everything we do. 

There’s a lot of bad news around. But we’ve come to believe the Gospel, or Good News, of Jesus – who came to earth as our King, died for our sins, rose again to rule, and will return to judge and renew all things. We’re a messy bunch, and could never work our way into God’s good books. So it’s life-changing to believe that all our shame and guilt has been taken away – Jesus loved us and died on the cross for us, paying for our forgiveness; then rose again, reconciling us to God and guaranteeing us a happily ever after with him. We want everything at New Life to revolve around this good news!

London can be a lonely place, but the Bible says that as we come to believe in Jesus, we get a new family.  New Life Church Battersea is full of people from all sorts of ethnic backgrounds, cultures, ages and worldviews – but in Jesus we’re united into one beautifully diverse community. So life at our church is full of enjoying the goodness of the different cultures among us, seeking to love and care for one another, and helping each other as we follow our King.

If Jesus is the way back to God and forever hope – then we believe this news is too good to keep to ourselves. We love Battersea, so want to be a church flowing out to our locality with love and good deeds –  as well as the message of hope that we’ve come to find.

Life can be so hard. We can feel so powerless. But through Jesus, the God of the universe has become our Father who loves us completely. So we rely on him in prayer to provide for us, change our lives, and comfort us with his presence. It’s an amazing thing to see God provide for us as we ask him.
